At Tiki Taka Football School, every child begins a journey—not just a football season.

Our structured pathway has been designed to support players through every stage of their development, from their very first kick of a football to competitive youth football and beyond.

Every stage follows the same coaching philosophy, ensuring players continue to develop in a familiar environment with consistent coaching principles, clear expectations and a genuine opportunity to reach their full potential.

FOOTBALL SCHOOL

18 Months – 5 Years

Every football journey starts somewhere.

Our Football School introduces children to movement, coordination and confidence through fun, engaging sessions designed specifically for young children.

The focus is on developing physical literacy, balance, coordination and a love of football while creating a positive first experience of sport.

At this stage we build:

• Confidence

• Coordination

• Ball familiarity

• Social skills

• Listening skills

• Enjoyment

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PHASE

5 – 8 Years

As players grow, so does their understanding of the game.

The Youth Development Phase introduces technical learning in a structured environment while encouraging creativity and freedom on the ball.

Players begin to understand how football is played while developing confidence in possession and learning to make their own decisions.

Key focuses include:

• Ball mastery

• Dribbling

• Passing & receiving

• Scanning

• 1v1 confidence

• Decision making

• Small-sided games

This is where players begin to develop the Tiki Taka identity.

ACADEMY PHASE

6 – 16 Years

Our Academy Phase provides players with a professional-style football environment centred around long-term player development.

Training becomes increasingly game-realistic while maintaining the philosophy that learning is always more important than simply winning.

Players continue developing technically, tactically, physically and mentally while representing Tiki Taka in leagues, festivals and competitive fixtures.

Academy players benefit from:

• UEFA-qualified coaching

• Position-specific development

• Goalkeeper coaching

• Strength & conditioning

BALGONIE PLAYER PATHWAY

16+ Years

Tiki Taka is proud to be the Official Youth Academy of Balgonie Scotia Amateurs.

This partnership creates a genuine pathway into senior football while allowing players to continue playing within the same football philosophy they have experienced throughout their youth development.

Our aim is not simply to produce youth players.

Our aim is to produce footballers who are ready for the next stage of their journey.

Whether that leads to:

• Professional academies

• Junior football

• Amateur football

• University football
