Arthur's Seat Challenge 2026

Building Stronger Footballers. Building Stronger People.

Every pre-season has a purpose.

This year's "Build the Foundations" week wasn't simply about improving fitness—it was about developing the physical and mental qualities that every footballer needs to succeed.

Throughout the week, our 2016 and 2017 Academy Phase squads completed a series of strength and conditioning sessions designed to improve movement, balance, coordination, running mechanics and resilience. Every session built towards one final challenge.

The Arthur's Seat Challenge.

Led by former Kelty Hearts captain and club legend Shaun Greig, the players took on the famous climb in Edinburgh—a pre-season session inspired by the methods used during Shaun's own playing career.

The climb tested far more than physical fitness.

It challenged determination.

It challenged teamwork.

It challenged resilience.

Most importantly, it challenged every player to keep going when things became difficult.

Throughout the morning, the boys encouraged one another, celebrated each other's achievements and demonstrated the values that define Tiki Taka Football School. No player was left behind, and every step towards the summit was taken together.

At Tiki Taka, we believe football is about more than technical ability. Character, discipline and mental toughness are qualities that help young players both on and off the pitch, and experiences like the Arthur's Seat Challenge help build those qualities in a positive, supportive environment.

Reaching the summit wasn't the end of the session—it was the reward for a week of hard work, commitment and determination.

The view from the top served as a reminder that success is earned through preparation, perseverance and working together as a team.

A huge thank you to Shaun Greig for sharing his experience and inspiring our young players with a session they will remember for years to come.

This challenge marks the end of our Build the Foundations week—but it is only the beginning of another exciting chapter for our Academy Phase players as they continue their journey through One Club. One Philosophy. One Pathway. 🧡🖤

Brian Cameron Signs for St Johnstone FC

Another Proud Moment for the Tiki Taka Family

Everyone at Tiki Taka Football School would like to congratulate Brian Cameron on signing for St Johnstone Football Club.

Brian has been part of the Tiki Taka family for a number of years and has shown exactly what can be achieved through hard work, dedication and a willingness to learn.

Originally joining us as a striker, Brian has developed into a complete footballer. Through his commitment to improving every aspect of his game, he embraced new challenges, adapted to different roles and developed the technical ability, awareness and decision-making that have now earned him this fantastic opportunity.

While we're incredibly proud to see Brian take the next step in his football journey, what makes us most proud is the person he has become. Brian is a more rounded, hardworking and intelligent young player who represents everything Tiki Taka stands for both on and off the pitch.

His achievement is also a reflection of our philosophy. At Tiki Taka, we focus on long-term player development, encouraging players to be brave on the ball, make intelligent decisions and enjoy learning every day. Success is never rushed—it is earned through consistent hard work and the right environment.

We know everyone at St Johnstone will quickly see the qualities that have made Brian such an important member of the Tiki Taka family.

Congratulations, Brian. We are incredibly proud of you and can't wait to follow your journey. Remember, you'll always have a home at Tiki Taka.

Alasdair Cameron Signs for St Johnstone FC

From Outfield Player to Pro-Youth Goalkeeper

Everyone at Tiki Taka Football School is incredibly proud to congratulate Alasdair Cameron on signing for St Johnstone Football Club.

Alasdair's journey is a perfect example of why player development is at the heart of everything we do.

When Alasdair first joined Tiki Taka, he played as an outfield player. As he developed, it became clear that he possessed all the attributes needed to become an exceptional goalkeeper. His bravery, athleticism, quick reactions and willingness to learn made the transition feel natural, and from that moment his development accelerated.

Through countless hours of hard work on the training ground and an outstanding attitude to improving every day, Alasdair has developed into one of the most highly regarded young goalkeepers in Scottish grassroots football.

His signing for St Johnstone is a reward for his dedication, commitment and love for the game, but it is also recognition of the person he has become. Alasdair leads by example, supports his teammates, works tirelessly to improve and represents the values of Tiki Taka every time he steps onto the pitch.

At Tiki Taka, we believe every player's journey is unique. Sometimes that journey involves discovering a position that truly suits their qualities, and Alasdair's story is a brilliant reminder that player development is about recognising potential, embracing change and giving young players the confidence to grow.

We have no doubt that Alasdair has an exciting future ahead of him, and everyone at the club will be following his progress with immense pride.

Congratulations, Alasdair. Thank you for everything you have given to Tiki Taka Football School. This is a fantastic achievement, and while your next chapter begins at St Johnstone, you will always be part of the Tiki Taka family.

We wish you every success and look forward to watching your journey continue.
